An early family of La Villa de Mier is that of Jose Juan Antonio Ramos and Ana Maria Anzaldua. They are listed in the 1757 census of Mier as follows: "Don Juan Antonio Ramos, casado con Doña Ana Anzaldua, cinco hijos, armas, seis caballos, un sirviente con una hija y su mujer".
I have yet to find the parents of Jose Juan Antonio Ramos. The parents of Ana Maria Anzaldua are Sebastian Anzaldua and Mariana Saucedo.
