How to Batch Download Images From FamilySearch

Ever wanted to download an entire set of images from FamilySearch?

I know it can be frustrating to do so. You have to do it manually, you click next, then download, and repeat the process. Now if your internet speed is slow, good luck.

Sometimes, there is no choice, you have to go through an entire collection image by image. I know this since I have been there, I have done it, and always wished there was a better way.

There is a better way!

Yes, there is.

I got a brief taste of it a few years ago, the tool used to be called FastFilm and it would download entire sets of images from FamilySearch.

It was great It saved me a ton of time downloading images and browsing through them faster than on their website. What I loved the most was that I could see at a glance the index images of the entire image set.

Unfortunately, this tool was short lived and after a few months it was no longer working. The person behind it said he was not going to release a working version anymore since he was asked by FamilySearch to stop developing his tool.

Our New Hope

A few days I came across a similar tool, it lets you download image sets from FamilySearch. Below I show you where and how to get a copy of this great new tool.

I used FastFilm some years ago, and now it would be nice to have a similar tool.
Can you please give me an info, if there is another working tool to do this?
    Thank you!

I don’t think tese type of programs will ever work again. FamilySearch now throttles the bandwidth that people use on a daily basis. But, if I ever come across something ill let you know.
